Summer Can’t Be Over! It’s Still Rosé Season

I love wine spritzers because they’re easy to make, low in alcohol, and wildly refreshing. This sparkling rosé spritzer cocktail, in particular, is made with just a handful of simple ingredients. You probably have all of them in your fridge right now!

You can use any bottle of rosé for this cocktail recipe, or you can even use an aromatic white wine instead. I’ve made this recipe with Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc, and both times it tasted fantastic!

Today I’m just using some leftover rosé that I’ve had open in the fridge for over a week. It still tastes great, but it’s a bit past its prime and belongs in a cocktail.

Ingredients & Gear

The best part about a wine spritzer is that you can make one with… pretty much anything. That’s why I’ve included a list of equally delicious flavor combinations in case strawberry, mint, and orange isn’t your thing.

For this recipe, we will need a stirring spoon, a jigger, and a muddler. Here’s the all-in-one-kit I use to make cocktail magic!

Rosé

Don’t break out the fancy stuff for this recipe, any bottle will do. In fact, I usually make a spritzer cocktail when I have a half-opened bottle in the fridge.

Orange Juice

For sweetness. Feel free to add a touch of lime or lemon juice as well, or swap OJ for grapefruit juice. It’s delicious!

Strawberries

They’re the best berry to compliment a rosé, but raspberries work great as well.

Mint Leaves

This might sound weird when combined with OJ – but I promise it works. The mint adds just a touch of freshness that compliments the sweetness from the orange juice.

Soda Water

To put the spritz in spritzer!

Make a Boozy Rosé Spritzer Cocktail!

If you’re feeling something a little boozier, this cocktail will only taste better with a shot of vodka, St-Germain, Aperol, or orange liqueur.

Flavor Combinations

If orange juice and strawberry aren’t your thing, consider swapping those ingredients for some of my other favorite combinations:

  • Aperol and rosemary
  • Raspberry and elderflower liqueur
  • Orange juice and Campari
  • Grapefruit juice, honey, and strawberry
  • Lemonade or limeade and strawberry
